Olympic Family Restaurant in Greensboro

After moving to the Northwest side of Greensboro 6 months ago, we fell in love with the Olympic Family Restaurant on our first visit. Now we go at least 2-3 times a month or more! The staff is always super friendly and truly give service with a smile. I don't think we have tried a dish yet that we didn't like, and it fits our style of "home made cooking". I highly recommend for family, friends, or even dining alone!

The lasagna and spaghetti is the best I've ever eaten. The sauce is second to none. I'm from out of town but visit frequently and have been here four times to the restaurant and I want to try other stuff but the spaghetti and lasagna are so good I can't pry myself from it.

This restaurant offers great food, attentive and friendly service, casual atmosphere, clean, and an organized dining area. I ordered the rib-eye steak sandwich. It was a little salty and overly juicy but very tasty, very tender steak. The prices are a little high. But, the portion size was ample.

Great food and service. Food was served quickly. It was fairly busy, more than half the tables were full. We went about 5:30 pm. No complaints. Good sweet tea. Waitress had several tables buy checked on us frequently and kept our drinks full on a hot day.

family meals, yummy. Service is always awesome even when they have a full house. The service was very sociable and kind. The bill was decent. Atmosphere is similar to a cafe in San Jose I loved.

Have been looking forward to coming back there again for there flounder Use to think about the best around in this area. Was very disappointed. Will go back again for something else just not for the fish.And can't brag on it like i once did

Our new favorite. Lunch specials can't be beat and the service is just as good. Friendly, hometown feeling and delicious comfort food.

I have lived in the Triad for almost 7 years and this was probably the worst eating experience I have had to date. I got the special, which was country fried steak and gravy that came with three sides. I've had better country steak in a frozen meal. The mac and cheese was bland, the broccoli and cheese was literally cold and the greens tasted terrible. The server apologized and offered me another meal, but I was already done, so I sent it all back. I ate a bit over half of the steak and a taste of each veggie. Here's the kicker...when my friend and I went to pay, she paid for hers and I began to walk away. They were like, uhm the other one is (and she gave the total) I was like, I sent it back...and then we walked out. I will never, ever eat here again....

Food & service was good. There was trash & food on floor in two places near to us that was not cleaned up even though the tables were cleaned off? Also cashier was busy talking with associate behind her while ringing me up. Not good!

I made a to go order during my break. I thought my food would be ready much sooner and it became close to time I have to return to work. I requested a refund due to the time and the cashier refused. I begged for them to just give me a refund so I won’t be late. I eventually got my food but I was late for work. Just leaving a review to make them aware. $9 isn’t worth ruining someone’s day. Customers are always first

Good restaurant. Went there on Saturday morning for breakfast. Very casual. Food was very good. Friendly staff. Always kept the water glass full and the hot coffee coming.

Olympic is mine and my husbands favorite place to eat, we eat from here several times a week. The portions are huge and we can make one meal lasts for 2 dinners. Every single item we’ve tried has been amazing. Their vegetables are super fresh, the food is always amazing. We just wish they were still on door dash for us to get delivery, but luckily it’s only a short drive. Amazing food & service.

I didn’t know that a restaurant could just decide not to answer phone calls to place orders. Especially when I drove by and saw that they weren’t busy at all. They’re choosing not to answer the phone! You wont be getting my business again!

Love Olympic Family Restaurant! The food is wonderful. Service is excellent. We get take out for my work a few times a week and have been so impressed by the delicious meals we've gotten. Highly recommend!

We've eaten here several times now. It's close to home, reasonably priced, and the food is very good. Service is top notch.

I ate here before and it wasn't that bad but the food was alright. I got a cheese burger because I already had a big lunch and didn't want too much food but the bun was too big for the meat. My partners food was vegetables and the baked potatoe was burnt and overall good he said. The banana pudding was the only thing I liked and it wasn't the best I've had but what got me was the floor looked like it hasn't been sweeped in days. It was trash everywhere around our table and going out the door. I know I wasn't the only one who seen it and they wasn't that busy to sweep and the crew was all talking like they was at home chilling!! I mean we have a pandemic going on and I wonder if they even cleaned our table before and after we left. Im not going back anytime soon!!

We always stop in here going to and returning from our families homes on the North Carolina coast. It's close to the farmer's market where we always go shopping. Great menu including meals for children and seniors. The service is good and the food is wonderful.

Excellent food!!!! So glad we decided to have our dinner here. It was so busy and PACKED when we got there (Sat. Around 6:30), but our waitress was so nice 😊 We are visiting this area for one night, but if come this area again, we would definitely come to this restaurant again!!! Oh! Their homemade chocolate cake was so good!!! 🎉😋🎉

I was very surprised last night when we went to dinner at Olympic with all the Risk of Covid 19 no one had a mask on even the cooks didn't ether the food was still good however I was very uncomfortable eating there . I thought it was a requirement to at restaurants to not only have seating 6 feet apart but to wear mask. I can tell you now I will not go back until the Covid 19 season is over

Service took a rough 45mins to get but 2plates of food. Morning rush I get it, arrived at 930 got served cold bacon and toast at 1045...staff is GREAT, KIND, COURTEOUS! But my goodness, I got full on the coffee alone.

Amazing portions. Ordered togo after long day at work for me and my son and was beyond impressed. The togo girls were beyond fantastic and our food and portions were impressive to say the least!! Will most definitely be back!! Great Job!!

Absolutely some of the best food I have ever eaten

Waitress was very friendly. Food awesome! Hamburger steak was so tender I couldn’t keep it on the fork and excellent flavor. Sides were hot and fresh! Cabbage is good. Husband had po boy sandwich and it was loaded with meat. Steak and cheese was good too!!

I'm only gonna share the positives cause I am from New York and not a huge fan of this type of menu, but the service is the absolute friendliest and most accommodating ever. But the real reason I keep going back is the desserts. The pineapple cake is amazing. I just proposed to the lemon cheesecake. Whoever is baking those cakes is the Garth Brooks of baking. I came here this morning to eat with a friend before work. Not busy at all. I waited about 10 minutes for someone to bring me a menu and take my drink order. I got orange juice but was never asked what size. I was brought a large when I wanted a small. I needed more time to look at the menu and before I could ask for a straw the waitress quickly walked away. An hour later she still had not come back to take my order. When I left I told the lady at the register what happened and she acted like I was attacking her. My waitress was also standing there repeating that it was okay. I felt like they thought i was going to pull a gun out. They acted like they didn't care that I just had the worst service. If you can't deal with a customer having an issue with the service then maybe make sure your waitresses are actually doing their job. I won't be coming back.

Olympic is one of the best places for breakfast that I've ever been to. The breakfast offerings are simple, but delicious. On my last visit I had scrambled eggs with a generous slice of country ham. Served with a biscuit and side of gravy. Delicious! If you like coffee your cup won't get empty here! The service is great and the servers are so friendly. This place is great!
